5* NBA WEST CONF ROUND 2 GAME OF THE YEAR MAX BET We lost with the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of the series, but I'm not afraid to back them to bounce back with a win and ATS cover in Game 2. Despite that loss, I still have Denver as the better team and I don't think the Wolves will be quite as hungry after grabbing one in Denver. For the season, the Nuggets are 7-1 SU and ATS following a home loss. I find it nearly impossible for them to go 2-0 down in the series, and I expect them to win this one by double-digits. 5* PLAY ON THE NUGGETS. |

MIKE'S PACERS/KNICKS NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Indiana Pacers can compete with any team on the offensive end, but they're extremely vulnerable on defense. The New York Knicks, on the other hand, are a well-balanced team, and while Indiana won two of three meetings during the regular season, I think the Knicks are better built for playoff basketball. MIKE'S LATE 4* MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Oakland Athletics' six-game winning streak ended on Sunday with a 12-3 loss to the Miami Marlins. I think they're in for another loss here Monday night with left-hander Alex Wood on the mound, facing a Texas Rangers team averaging 4.5 R/9 against left-handers and are 5-3 on the season as favorites and facing a left-handed starter.
